Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare concept designs sketches diagrams, schematic design, design development and construction drawings
• Lead and coordinate architectural work with engineering disciplines both in-house and with consultants
• Responds to the technical implications of design decisions
• Meeting with clients to discuss the design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.
• Acting as an intermediary between the client and the design team.
• Represent the firm and design team by providing construction administration services such as RFIs, submittal reviews, shop drawing review and mockup sample review
• May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques
• Attend client presentation and progress meetings to communicate design intent and technical details
• Assist in, prepare and coordinate architectural details with other architectural team members for consistency with project design intent and office/client standards
• Assist in the preparation of work effort estimates of architectural services for proposals
• Provide regular updates with project managers for schedule and budget compliance for architectural services
• Mentor junior architects and designers, and be responsible for determining technical objectives of project assignments in conjunction with project management and design principles

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc Degree in Architecture and urban planning.
• 8-10 years of total experience in architecture and design
• Must have a Practicing Professional Architect license
• Professional experience in a wide variety of production and visualization software’s including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, 3D modeling, Open Building and graphic software’s like Adobe illustrator, Photoshop and PowerPoint
• Familiar with building codes, specifications, building, and engineering systems
• Be able to carry assignments to completion in accordance with project objectives, codes/criteria/standards, policies, and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong technical skills and demonstrated experience in all phases of architecture project delivery
• High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions
• Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges
